I recently stayed at Khamphouy Guesthouse for a few nights during my trip. The room was clean, comfortable, and had good air conditioning. The guesthouse is conveniently located near excellent restaurants and cafes. The owner was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind. He arranged a tuk tuk for us to visit the nearby temple at a reasonable price. The road to the temple wasn't as bad as we had anticipated, so I would recommend renting a moped if possible. a great stay!
Can recommend this hotel.

Friendly, convenient family-run place in town center. Nice rooms with good air-con. English-speaking owner, helpful with travel arrangements. Scooters and bikes available for rent. Basic breakfast at extra cost. Accepts credit cards. Useful if ATM is down.

Affordable and spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. - Good location close to attractions and amenities.
Noisy rooms due to lack of proper windows and ongoing construction. Uncomfortable mattresses and presence of dead bugs in the bed.

Cheap and basic room that was good value for money. the room was clean and we had a hot shower. the staff were friendly and helpful. the hotel is in a good location, making it easy to explore the nearby attractions. We also enjoyed the free coffee provided.
The bicycles available for rent were heavy and difficult to ride, which made our trip to Wat Phu a struggle. We also had a bad experience renting a motorbike, with two flat tires and engine problems.

The value for money at Khamphouy Guesthouse was excellent, with a spacious and clean room, complete with a private porch. The location was perfect, close to a stunning restaurant across the road with beautiful views.
Menu for breakfast could have had more options.

Well-maintained, spacious rooms with AC and good bathrooms. Helpful owners assisted with transport and scooter trouble. Nice terrasse and garden for breakfast or relaxing. Convenient location near river restaurant and currency exchange and ATM. Staff organized bike rides, tuk-tuks, and even helped with onward travel plans.

I recently stayed at a lovely, family-run guesthouse in Laos for a couple of nights. The friendly owners, Tony and his wife, along with their children and dogs, created a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The clean and spacious rooms were well-maintained and each had a cute little terrace. Despite being on a budget, I found the guesthouse to be great value for money, especially after upgrading to an air-conditioned room. Tony, who spoke excellent English, was extremely helpful with bus tickets and onward travel arrangements. The guesthouse also offered scooter and bike rentals, making it convenient for exploring the area. Additionally, they accepted credit cards with a small surcharge, which was useful when the nearby ATM was down.
100% Recommend this hotel.

Very helpful and friendly owner who spoke excellent English.
Mix-ups with payments which resulted in paying more than initially quoted.

During my xmas stay, I liked that the hotel offered free tea and coffee throughout the day. It was a nice perk to have a warm drink available whenever I wanted. the breakfast provided by the hotel was quite good. It was a satisfying and tasty way to start the day.
One aspect that I disliked about my stay was the owner's lack of flexibility. It felt like he was trying to charge me for every little thing and was not willing to negotiate.

We had a wonderful stay at this guesthouse. The room was large and clean, with a private porch that provided a nice place to relax. The fan kept the room cool enough, and we had no complaints during our two-night stay. The owner was professional and everything was as it should be. We appreciated the quality of the staff, who did their jobs efficiently without playing up to us. We wish more places we stayed at had staff of this caliber.
Nothing, it was perfect! 😊
